What we cover — the three pillars

• Physical chemistry — atomic structure, amount of substance (moles), bonding, energetics, kinetics, chemical equilibria, and redox.
• Organic chemistry — nomenclature, alkanes, alkenes, halogenoalkanes, alcohols, and organic analysis; your first proper mechanisms.
• Inorganic chemistry — periodicity, Group 2 (the alkaline earth metals), and Group 7 (the halogens).
